Pokemon Location Guide

The information is sorted in a general order of what areas a character will
visit during the course of the game. It is strictly devoted to location data,
and should not be taken as a walkthrough for the game. However, where possible
I have attempted to sort Pokemon appearing in the wild for the first time at
the top of the list.
In the regular encounters, MRN, DAY and NIT refer to the following times by
the DS's internal clock:
MRN - Morning - 4:00am - 9:59am
DAY - Afternoon - 10:00am - 7:59pm
NIT - Night - 8:00pm - 3:59am
Special methods as well as the Super Rod are normally only available after the
National Pokedex is obtained. (As of v 1.2, assistance for completing the
National Pokedex has been included at the end of the document).

OBTAINING THE NATIONAL POKEDEX
==============================
In order to get the National Pokedex, you must have beaten the Elite 4 and
seen all 210 of the Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex. (In Diamond/Pearl, only the
complete Sinnohdex was required - the author has gotten the National Pokedex
in Diamond with only 5 badges and some judicious trading).
If every NPC trainer in the game is battled prior to the Elite 4 and all story
events are completed, these two requirements should occur at the exact same
time. Upon the restart, you can proceed immediately to Rowan's lab in Sandgem
Town and get the National upgrade plus the Pokeradar.
If you are missing 1 or 2 Pokemon from the list, check the following list to
find the trainer you need to face to get the Pokedex entry.
Note that due to the variable teams used by the Rival, he will only be listed
if no other Trainer can fufill the requirement.

REGENERATING POKEMON
====================
Platinum for the first time introduced the concept of regenerating legendaries
in the event that you fail to capture them. This can happen one of three ways:
- Defeat the Pokemon
- Get defeated
- Run from the battle
These Pokemon, although not legendary, can be encountered multiple times by
meeting the requirements even if captured:
- Drifloon (appears every Friday)
- Spiritomb (appears by using the Odd Keystone and talking to 32 players
in the Underground. You must get to 64, 96, etc to regenerate)
- Rotom (appears every night in the TV in the Old Chateau)
Uxie, Mespirit and Azelf, if encountered before defeating the Elite 4 will not
reappear until after defeating the Elite 4.
Giratina will not appear in the Distorted World again after defeating it; if a
rematch is necessary, it will appear at the end of Turnback Cave as it would
in Diamond and Pearl. It will appear in Altered form at L47 and can be
transformed into Origin form by having it hold the Platinum Orb.
Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are triggered again by talking to Professor Oak
in Eterna City. Cresselia is triggered by returning to Fullmoon Island.
The other Pokemon (Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, and Regigigas) are encountered again
by returning to the area where they are encountered. The same requirements
hold (for example: Dialga needs the Adamant Orb, Regigigas needs the 3 other
Regi-Pokemon in your party).
